Fancy Pewter

I found this one on Etsy. It says Troll Tinn, HANDMADE NORWEGIAN PEWTER and stamped 8 1. I am pretty sure this is the company that made it:

http://www.troll-tinn.no/ .

It is 3 1/2" Long, just under 1 3/4" Tall & 2" Wide (Round).

These are listed in 5000 Open Salts as number 4257. I am lucky enough to have 24of them. I believe these where made by Arne Haugrud.

These are 3" Long, just over 1 1/2" Tall & 1 3/4" Wide (Round).

I could not find this one listed in 5000 Open Salts, but it appears to be a "Double" of HJ4257. It has the same Spoons, Dragon heads and markings on the bottom as the single ones. These where made by Arne Haugrud.

This is just under 5" Long, just over 1 1/2" Tall & 1 3/4" Wide (Round).

These fine pewter ships have 6 shields and were made by Just Andersen. I am lucky enough to have 3 of them.

These are 4 1/4" Long, just over 2 1/4" Tall & 1 3/4" Wide.

These 2 are listed in 5000 Open Salts as 4264. They are made by HANDSTOPT and have a great Danish Modern Look! I believe that is the correct spoon, however I am missing one.

These are 2 1/2" Long, just under 2" Tall & 1" Wide.

The first is an Ebay find, bought from a seller in Russia. They second was from a Canadian Antique Website. They have very interesting Dragon Heads and what looks like Knots half tied in the center of both sides. It is marked HANDSTOPT TINN TP8 on the bottom. I have bought the only two I have seen.

These are 4 3/4" Long, 2 1/2" Tall & 2 1/2" Wide.

This one is interesting. Most pewter ships have heads at both ends. Not only does this one have a tail, but it has 5 shields, and waves at the base. I have not seen another on like this one. Marked "Made in Norway" on the bottom.

This is 4 1/4" Long, 2 1/4" Tall & 1 1/2" Wide.

This is a "Kongetinn" pattern Norwegian ale bowl/beer drinking boat. The Kongetinn pattern got it's inspiration from King Olav the Holy who introduced Christianity to Norway. He had a dragon's head carved at the head of his Viking Ships.

Personally, I like to think of them as Open Salts.

These are 5 1/2" Long, 3 1/4" Tall & 3 1/4" Wide (Round).

I don't know much about this one either. Not even sure the spoon is correct. 7 shields. Can not read what the markings on the bottom say.

This one is 4" Long, just under 1 1/2" Tall & 1" Wide.

This one was sold as pewter, but it almost looks like it is Silver Plated. 6 Shields and notice the waves at the bottom.

This one is 3 3/4" Long, just under 2" Tall & 1 1/2" Wide.

Pewter with 3 Shields. It is stamped NORWAY & PEWTER along with something I can't read.

It is just over 3" Long, 2" Tall & 1" Wide.

Picked this sweet little Viking Ship off of Ebay and it showed up today! Since then I have been told that this is #1965 in the Heacock 5000 Salts Price Guild and is considered "Scare". Thank you Anita!
It is brass with Israeli Turquoise inlaid on the outside. It is 4 1/8" Long, 1 3/4 Wide & 1 3/8" Tall.

This is a real cute little Viking Ship Open Salt with a cool Dragon Head Spoon. The spoon has a stopper on it so it doesn't fall in the bowl. It says on the bottom: MADE IN NORWAY, HAVSTAD TINN.  Looks like it is currently being built & sold, here is a their website: http://www.havstad.no/index.htm

It is about 2 1/2" long, 2" tall & 1 1/4" wide.

This is a cool pewter bowl I picked up that kind of goes with the whole "Viking Ship" theme.

It measures about 7 1/2" Long, 2 1/2" Tall & and just over 4 1/2" Wide.

This Salt Cellar is a modern piece made by Arne Haugrund in Norway.

This is an interesting pewter ship I just picked up. I have never seen it before I bought it, & I can not read the markings on the bottom.

It is 4 3/4" Long, 1 3/4" Wide & just under 2 1/4" high.
