Here are 4 new Viking Ships I have picked up in recent months. Lately I have tried to go with the hard to find ones, or just unusual one I have never seen before. I will take more about each one in their specific areas in the blog.
This beautiful Viking Ship came in the mail today. I have never seen one quite like it before. Not sure who the maker is as it doesn't have any marks on it.
Here are a couple of new Viking Ship Salt Cellars I picked up over the last couple of weeks! Both cleaned up nicely with a little silver cleaner & polish.
The one on the left was made by Marius Hammer of Norway circa 1900.
The one on the left was made by the Brodrene Lohne, a silver smith from Bergen Norway.
This is an interesting pewter ship I just picked up. I have never seen it before I bought it, & I can not read the markings on the bottom. It is 4 3/4" Long, 1 3/4" Wide & just under 2 1/4" high.
This Viking Salt comes with a full sail & waving flag. It has a hallmark "830S" and was made by Magnus Aase. I am not sure is the sail was part of the original piece, but is also silver and was done professionally.
HAASE Silver Plate Viking Salt with Dragon Head Bow & Stern, Shield Trimmed Sides, and Sea Swell Weighted Wood Base. Base is engraved, "Remote Sensing Fagernes 12 Nov 1974, designed to keep the ship from tipping. Measures 14" from dragon snout to dragon snout.
Picked up 2 more of these Salt Cellars this last week. One came with a blue liner and spoon, the other without. Both have the same Makers Mark, that makes 3 now with that Mark and still haven't figured out who produced it.
